This was an early plane used by Delta and American Airlines. The original purchase price was $37,500. This particular plane was ditched in the Alaskan boondocks in 1947 and finally recovered in 1968.

The keirin is an interesting race. The cyclists follow the motorcycle for the first five laps (up to a speed of 31 m.p.h.). After the motorcycle pulls off the track, the riders have 2.5-3 laps left to race.
